Worg
A https://www.aidedd.org/dnd/monstres.php?vo=worg was a type of magical beast that resembled a normal wolf but was larger, more intelligent, and had a fiendish countenance.
There are four main breeds of Worgs in Esau =
+ HECTRE = grasslands and hills - dark brown fur
+ HIGHLAND = highlands and mountains - dark grey fur
+ TIMBER =forest and woods - light grey or reddish fur
+ BLACKROOK = warm , rocky terrain - black fur
Worgs are viewed as naturally evil. A predator that delights in hunting and devouring creatures weaker than itself. Cunning and malevolent, some worgs roam across the remote wilderness seeking prey. Others are raised by goblins and hobgoblins as mounts or battel companions. Any worg will quickly turn on its rider if it feels mistreated or malnourished.
Basic Information
Behaviour
Despite their higher intelligence and evil traits, most worgs tended to act, for the most part, like tyipcal wolves.
* often hunted in packs - hunting large, herbivorous animals, splitting off the young, sick, or weak when possible
* sometimes solitary creatures - Lone worgs tend to hunt smaller animals
Unlike typical wolves, worgs are not afraid to take humanoids, especially when other food sources have been exhausted.
They have been known to stalk humanoid prey for a number of hours or even days. Then will choose the best of time of day and terrain for their attack. When they do, the worg employed hit-and-run tactics to exhaust a victim - until finally the whole pack goes in for the kill. If they outnumbered a victim or were especially impatient, they might try to corner the prey, then attack.
They attack mainly with their teeth. Like a wolf, they can bite their prey and try to pull them down to the ground. Their large paws are used to hold prey in place - digging claws into flesh. They also have the benefit of stealth, keen senses, and the ability to track prey by scent alone.
Their horrific growl has been known to instill terror in any creature close by.
