The Magic Burst
The excess magic that spilled into Prime Material Plane, had long had a place to be absorbed, by the massive Titan Giants. Then these Titans started to vanish. In the years after the Titans disappearance, there were dozen of small magical bursts - called Magical Dashes. They happened randomly within the Prime Material Plane on the planet of Esau
These small magical bursts only effected the magic of those races, such as Changeling, Elves, and Genasi, who already had magical abilities.
In 10AG, there was a gigantic magic burst - simply referred to as The Magic Burst. The whole of Esau was flooded by magic.
The skies all over the world turned a multitude of colours which appeared to sparkle and glisten. Then there was a flash that was all too bright. People and beasts alike were blinded by that light.
Everything and everyone was drowned in powerful magic. Not only creatures who already had magic were affected. Trees, locations, animals and people found new or improved magical capabilities. Everything dripped in a goo of magic.
The Barbarians were the first to discover their new magical enhancements to 'rage' - that increased the strength of the attack as well as their capabilities to take some of the blows.
The some scholars found they could learn how to cast certain Types of Magic. They wrote the first spell scrolls and tomes of enchantments. A group of these mages became known as Wizards. Each of the Wizards have an extensive spellbook - that still can be found somewhere. Most of the oldest ones now reside in the shelves of the Scholars Assembly in the various special locations.
While other people soon found by accepting a patron, they were given interesting magical capabilities. These mages were known as Warlocks. Some of these aligned with the darker forces. Each Warlock has pact boons. The power of Eldritch magic appealed to some.
In following generations, there were some people were born with the natural abilities to cast spells. The inherited magic made some families became a different kind of powerful.
Some of the Arcane mages were called Sorcerers Sorcerers have an innate manipulation. They learnt new Types of Magic, expanding the known spells.
Some members of the races who had always had magical abilities found it hard to share the 'glory' and 'power'. Others took to becoming tutors and mentors to the new mages.
After The Magic Burst, there was much chaos and discovery. One of those discoveries was that Chestnut trees had an ability to contain magic in an area. A set of mages formed The Chestnut Unity, to regulate the usage of magic and use of the Types of Magic, by spellcasters/mages in Esau.
Magical chapters of mages, such as Vol'Soma (exclusive to Monks, Wizards, Sorcerers and Bards) were formed to link some classes of magic casters.
The magic of music used by Bards was discovered later. Along with Rogues and Rangers who had some uses of magic. Along with numerous magical items that in the hands of the heroes, became historically world changing - these are collected when found, by the Legends' Hallow.
The Divine casters came later, as the deities saw the usefulness of having mages. Some were selected as the Champion of their God or Goddess. Much debate over if that was optimal.
Arcane casters like Wizards, Sorcerers, and Warlocks use learned, innate, or granted arcane magic - magic which is studied, learned, and controlled by mortals, often requiring intense study and discipline to manipulate and shape reality. While divine magic - the supernatural power drawn from a deity or other divine source, often requiring faith and used for purposes like healing, protection, or restoration - brought forth casters like Clerics, Druids, and Paladins harness their power through faith, nature, or a patron deity.
Monks and Sharman use a Spiritual Energy - harness the energy that flows in their bodies - often referred to as 'Ki'. While Artificers use ingenuity and magic to unlock extraordinary capabilities in objects
Many more people found they could use magic too. There are many various classes and races within the world of Esau.
