The Heroism of Liftrasa Hammerheart
The Heroism of Liftrasa Hammerheart
Brasical “The Slayer” was one of the most brutal, ruthless threats that Malnax ever face in known history. He believed himself to be immortal, he thought himself the son of the Goddess Hecate Darkmoon.
He came from Kutloc (in a time before the land became cursed). In wish for conquest, and with his large army of 5,470 people believing him to be immortal, Brasical attacked an ill-prepared Malnax. His army came in waves across the sea.
They flooded into Uphorn region, leaving not a soul alive.
Brasical ordered and fought in many bloody battles in which he was feared.
Brasical always fought more viciously than any other member of his army. He set his sights on all of Malnax starting at the region on Uphorn, in the North. He cared not if his army was fighting village folk or an army, his orders were the same. His forces worked the way down through most of Jingre and part of Kilt. Finding the forests of Kilt a nuisance, his impatience set his sights on the South into Genx region.
On the border of Jingré Region into Genx, he faced his greatest resistance. An army of 750 people lead by a Dwarf Liftrasa Hammerheart. It was the first army that numerous races fought together side by side, collected with loyalty and urgency. Liftrasa Hammerheart was renown for her skill, leadership and the enchanted patterned shield she carried.
For 8 days and nights they protected the border. As word spread of Liftrasa Hammerheart and her people, each day approximately 50 more people a day arrived in small bands to join them at the border. They held the bolder for 23 days and nights before they were finally joined by greater reinforcements and finally were able to push Brasical’s forces back.
Liftrasa Hammerheart was said to single-handedly fight against Brasical “The Slayer”. Although he face was sliced and body badly cut, Liftrasa was victorious – cutting the head from Brasical’s fallen body and walking through the battlefield unarmed, with the head on a pike, to prove to his army he was in fact not immortal.
At her death, Liftrasa Hammerheart was graced with the title of “Daughter of the Realm”. The first of that title. Only a female of the greatest heroism is ever selected for that title.
She lies in her well-protected tomb - Tomb of Liftrasa Hammerheart - near Helterdeep.
