Spirit Animals, Power Animals, Familiar Spirit and Totems

A spirit animal is a creature that stays with a person for their life - both in the physical world and in your spirit. Although people may identify with different animal guides throughout their lives, it is this spirit animal that acts as their primary guardian spirit.

The Fates mark the spindle of thread for that person's life with the animals - even if the person never knows which is their Spirit Animals, Power Animal, Spirit Familiar or Totems.

The terms “spirit animal” and “power animal” are often used interchangeably, even though they have slightly different meanings :-

Spirit Animal Definition
Spirit animals are typically associated with shamanic practices. During initiations or shamanic journeys, the shaman would find one or several animals that they or another person is associated with. Traditionally, the spirit animal is used for guidance.
A person can consider their spirit animal as a guardian spirit or spirit guide. It can play the role of protector and provides guidance.

Power Animals Definition
The power or essence of the animal can be felt or communicated. In that sense, spirit animals can also be referred to as “power animals”. Since, the spirit of the animal can unite with the person it relates too in more personal ways - will often find similarities in traits of personality, characteristics, and synchronicity between the two.

Familiar Spirit Definition
A person's familiar spirit is often very different from their Spirit Animal, Power Animal and totem. While a totem is an inherent part of who they are and accompanies them in throughout life. A familiar spirit, however, enters a person's life when they become involved with some witchcraft, Types of Magic, Eldritch magic, or shamanism. They may possibly purposely invite a familiar in their life, or it may find them due to their magic usage.

Animal Totems Definition
Animal totems are a symbolic connection to an animal's spirit. These totems provide spiritual insight, wisdom, and a deep connection to nature, with beliefs varying across cultures but generally involving a lifelong relationship with a specific animal's energy and attributes.
A totem serves the emblem of a tribe, clan, family or individual.Members of the clan are not allowed to kill or eat their totemic animal.

Stepping into Echo Woods is to walk through a place of strong Eldritch and other Types of Magic. If a person does not seek their Power Animal or Spirit Familiar, one or both might seek you out - haunting your dreams and watching closely.
For Example ANT = The message of an ant is to work with diligence, with conviction, and work with others to forge your dreams and turn them into reality. Despite their tiny size, these little spirit animals are immensely tenacious. Ants have a superior strength of will, and accomplishment can come even in the smallest of packages.
BADGER = The message of a Badger is for you to walk your path at your own pace. In other words, you must have faith in yourself and your abilities. Moreover, trust that you have all the right tools to take on whatever challenge faces you. Also, this spirit animal teaches that you should make sure that you ignore what others may say.
BEETLE = The message of a beetle is asking you to make changes in your life that do not necessarily comply with you being true to yourself. In other words, the Beetle meaning lets you know that you must evaluate the situation in its entirety so that you can find a way to compromise. The presence of this spirit animal means that change will come, whether you want it to or not - Jewel Beetle symbolism is a reminder that life is a series of unexpected moments of joy and beauty in the smallest of packages. Thus this insect teaches you to find beauty in everything. When we focus on this aspect of your life, you will come home to the joy within us.
BOAR = the message of a boar is insisting that you get busy with that project that you have been procrastinating on. In other words, you need to move forward with your life and stop waiting for things to happen. Alternatively, the Boar meaning is prompting you to meet uncomfortable situations head-on. This spirit animal says it is the only way to get clarity and resolve the situation. By doing this, everything sorts out fairly and equitably. Moreover, you will be facing your fears, doing the hard effort, and finding peace with the situation.


The Wigwam in The Grounded Belt
The wigwam is located in The Grounded Belt within Kutloc - where the Conibar Tribe live.
It was built in front of a field, it's entrance is around the other side - it is oblong with symbols of spirit animals on the inner walls. The roof is held over by cords. There is 10 mats for sitting and sleeping around a firepit.br] The fire is lit and the smoke fills the wigwam. The scent is sweet and tickles your nostrils.
ROLL CON = sick, choke, cough, happy, dreamy, sleepy
Each of the others lie back on their mats, and someone pulls the cords holding the roof piece over top. The colours shift to deep purple sky with soft pinky clouds (not anything like the Feywild) to your stoned minds.

Beaver = Wood and Water; Color(s): Red, Blue (Traits: Practical, Hardworking, Reliable)
Deer = Wood and Earth; Orange, Blue (Traits: Moody, Intelligent, Conversationalist)
Hummingbird = Wood and Fire; Pink (Traits: Protective, Sensitive, Supportive)
Roc = Earth and Void; Grey (Traits: Stubborn, Clear-minded, Spiritual)
Raven = Void and Air; Brown, Blue (Traits: Peace-loving, Diplomatic, Serious)
Owlbear = Earth and Fire; Gold, Black (Traits: Adventurous, Broadminded, Independent)
Unicorn =Fire and Void; White, Silver (Traits: Ambitious, Methodical, Beguiling)
