Ordinary

"Ordinary" is a common, almost universal term that refers to the common wine found on every table; be it someone's home or any restaurant, tavern or inn. It refers to simple, everyday table wine — typically inexpensive, unpretentious, and meant for casual consumption rather than special occasions. It is made from a number of different ingredients depending on the area in which it's made and served. As an example, the "Ordinary" made for the InnTended Consequencesinn is made from sea grapes that grown along the shore in Stormhaven; while the "Ordinary" made in the The Vale of Equususes wild grapes and berries that grown in the Vale itself.
Flavor Profile:     •    Straightforward and uncomplicated: Ordinary is not made to showcase complexity or aging potential. It’s often light-bodied and modestly flavored.     •    Fruit-forward: Red versions might have soft notes of red fruits like cherry or berries, while whites may offer citrus or apple notes with a hint of tartness.     •    Moderate acidity and tannins: It tends to be easy-drinking, with mild structure and little to no barrel influence. Context: Traditionally, "Ordinary" was the wine you’d find on most family tables — poured from a jug or carafe, the drink rarely sees a bottle, going directly from cask to serving vessel. It’s the kind of thing you drink with a casual meal of roast chicken, cheese, or a simple stew; sometimes even just a stale hunk of bread if the imbiber is poor enough. This is truly a modest drink for modest people.
An interesting side note: "Ordinary" that is not drinkable, or if there are leftovers starting to sour, the liquid is often distilled into a fiery brandy suitable to warm one's bones on a windy, wintery night. (See "Dregs".
