A New People

Human victims of the Jordbani, if they were not killed in the initial blast, typically died of Magichem Poisoning. In the years following the Jordbani new intelligent species appeared near the Miorskrípi. Some humans theorize that these new creatures are cross breeds of humans and magical creatures or animals, however, what makes these creatures unique are that they occur between species who cannot naturally breed, or even physically have sex or have compatible reproductive processes. In the case of the Lurraren, this is taken to an extreme where the species appears to be a cross between the very magic of the earth - an extremely amorphous form - and humans.

The Lurraren are comfortable, even perfectly adapted to live with the magic and environment of the Miorskrípi. They live in this desolate habitat where all life has been contorted to deal with the ever present Magichem. Their appearance is humanoid, but their stature is quite large, with males often growing three times the size of a large human, and their skin seemingly composed of rocks. They may have multiple limbs which is considered quite attractive, or even multiple heads which is considered a sign of extreme good fortune. Full grown females are typically half the size of the males. They lay eggs approximately one foot in diameter which have been found in nests in clutches as large as 7 eggs. Lurraren shed their stony skins regularly in youth and approximately every five years as adults or if they are severely injured, they may shed their skin in the healing process.

Lurraren live in small communities which are closed to outsiders. They tend to be unfriendly to extremely hostile to purebred humans considering them interlopers into their territories and typically attacking on sight, particularly if they are in groups.
