Zago Language

Zago (Holhuf) is a language spoken in northwest Auslon on the southwestern tip of the Eihantō Peninsula. It is closely related to the nearby Eigo language, but by the end of the First Age, it had lost mutual intelligibility with all by the border dialects. Most historians attribute this drift to Eigo's borrowing of Hakugo terms as part of its station as a trade language. At the end of the First Age, Zago boasted one hundred thousand speakers, but by the fifth century of the Third Age, it was considered endangered by the Zalvotian conquest.
