Mines of Milibar, The

The Mines are one of the greatest producers of ores in The Outlands, but their economy dipped drastically when The Capital took over. They have a monopoly over the malachite market, and The Capital used that to their advantage, eating up their room for other supplies. The Mines of Milibar are a dwarven settlement inside a mountain where the actual mines are located, but the city a few kilometers away often gets called that as well.

Demographics

60% in the mining industry, 20% in the agriculture industry, 15% in the service industry, and 5% in the entertainment industry.

Government

The mining operations and most of the town government is run by the foreman, but all exporting is controlled by the Capital's representative.

Defences

The Mines have a battalion of dwarven soldiers to defend their home with their lives.

Industry & Trade

The Mines export large amounts of coal, diamonds, and gold.

Infrastructure

The Mines have cobblestone roads all through the town.

Assets

The Mines own one of the biggest mines in The Outlands, and thousands of tonnes of malachite that's exported every year.

Guilds and Factions

In the past, many factions had hands in the pie of the mining industry, but The Capital monopolized it until their destruction, allowing mercenary and manufacturing groups to invest once more.

History

The Mines have been an important dwarven stronghold for centuries, but human settlers made camp near the stronghold and started trading with the dwarves, creating a circular system, allowing the city outside of The Mines to be built. The Capital interrupted this process, causing a large valley in the city's economy.

Tourism

Not many tourists come to The Outlands in general, but some people come to the snowy slopes of The Mines to shield surf, a dangerous activity that many young humanoids take part in.

Architecture

The Mines' architecture is reminiscent of Spain during The Renaissance Period.

Geography

The city is 6.6 kilometers away from the actual mines, which are at the base of Mt. Chacston. The city is surrounded by rocky terrain, with a single mountain pass being the sole entrance to the city.

Natural Resources

The Mines of Milibar are rich with coal, gold, silver, and malachite that they export to different locations in The Outlands.
