The Fierce Creeper Collective

The collective is a pragmatic and violent Thieve's Guild. They are the only major operators in the Outer City, not by chance but by design. They viciously defend their territory. Many an upstart thief or guild leader has been lost beneath the waves of Lake Sahrandi or floating in the Undercity.

Their specialty is smuggling, bringing goods into the outer city from all across Ermendia without the Guard, the Watch, or the Council being aware. They own a number of businesses in the Outer City that they use to fence their smuggled and ill-gotten goods.

While they are more than happy to smuggle and sell anything, they particularly value rare and/or exotic monster parts. Many a monster hunter have hauled their goods all the way to Peloch so that they could get the best price for their goods.

The Creepers are a totally egalitarian group; any species, any background, is welcome as long as they are able to pass the initiation and swear fealty to the guild.

Structure

The Fierce Creeper Collective is divided into two groups, one on each side of the lake.

The Guild Master of the west bank is the second most powerful member of the guild. The position is one of great esteem and extreme trust since the chance for graft and theft is so high. It is currently held by Ras Isestep, a surly and pragmatic half-orc who has held the position for nearly ten years.

Below the Guild Masters, their territories are controlled by several Salals who take control of large areas and pay their dues up to the Guild Masters.

Full guild members are known as Creepers, and all work under a Salal.

Initiates and prospects are known as Fish. Initiates are expected to spend at least a year as a Fish before someone petitions for them to join the guild in full. Becoming a full member involves a dangerous and trying ordeal known only to those who have undertaken it.

Culture

The Collective is a no-nonsense guild. They keep a tight lid on the money being made from crime in the outer city and who is most affected by the crime. They do their best to minimize collateral damage to regular inhabitants of the outer city. This is how they keep the guard and the watch as much off their backs as possible.
