Maker's Mark

1.) Navigator's Guild: Order of the Wandering Jackal

Leader: Zahedi Sebepep Hemeren

The Jackal's hold high esteem in Peloch. They are the oldest and best established Navigator's Guilds in the Wild Winds Desert and, if they are to be believed, the whole of Ermendia. The Wandering Jackals claim that Hal-Al-Farrim founded them during the founding of the city. It is well known that if you need to guarantee that you get to your destination, there is no finer navigator than a Jackal.
Under the guidance of Zahedi, the guild has expanded to working in Arnareth, and guild halls have been established in Ralendall, Kinakos, and Dorratir. Zahedi is part of a wide-ranging and ancient Halfling clan that gives her connections across Ermendia.

2.) Clothier's Guild: The Society of the Pin and Press

Leader: Amunis Mir

The Pin and Press guild, as it is often known, is a small but wealthy guild. They have long held the contract for the design and manufacture of the council robes for both the Great and the Lesser Councils.   Some say that the everchanging fashions of Peloch are orchestrated by the leader of the Pin and Press Guild. The guild holds its members and shops that are affiliated with it to extremely high standards, and it is not uncommon for a shop to lose its guild affiliation if the quality of its products has dropped.

3.) Artisan's Guild: The Illustrious Order of the Golden Eye

Leader: El-iris Toreti

The Golden Eye Guild, as it is often called, is one of the most diverse and eclectic of the great guilds. Artists of all stripes, from Sculptors and Painters to Jewelers and Enchanters, pay fealty to the guild. Having the guild symbol adorning your shop's sign or hanging in its window is a mark of high prestige and great pride for many artisans.   El-Iris Toreti, the guild's current leader, is an ambitious woman, and she hopes to expand the guild's influence beyond Peloch. She has hopes of brokering a deal with artisans in her native Tsfun Berg to join the guild. She would love to establish a Golden Eye Guildhall in the great stone bazaar of her home city.

4.) Smith's Guild: The Ringing Sparks

Leader: Nazira Akina Faris

The Ringing Sparks are one of the oldest guilds in Peloch. Part of what drew people to settle here was the existence of rich veins of iron and adamantine. The vein of ore has long since dried up, and since then, the guild has had to survive on what ore merchants and scavengers bring in. This has put them at odds with the Steel Syndicate. This rivalry has been going on for centuries. In times of ore drought, the rivalry has even been known to boil over into violence and brawling between rival salvage crews.   Work inside the guild hall gives it its name. Constant smithing makes the hall ring with hammer strikes at all hours, and sparks rising from the main courtyard are also common occurrences.

5.) Monster Hunters Guild: Collective of the Tenacious Trappers

Leader: Majidi Mirenra Khu

The Trappers have come a long way from a simple guild of hunters and glory seekers. While their roots are in providing for the city and keeping the surrounding area clear when the city was young, they have evolved into a guild that specializes in providing high-end and rare monster ingredients to specialty retailers and noble houses. Adventurers can make good money contracting with the guild for some of their greater hunts.
Rumor has it that Majidi has a 100,000 gold piece bounty out for anyone who brings her the head of the Sovereign of the Sands. The Sovereign killed her clan while they were traveling the sands, a sadly not uncommon story.

6.) Brewer's Guild: Order of the Golden Draught

Leader: Osera Bah Afaq

The Guild Hall, known as the Golden Hall or Tippler's Hall, is a beloved location in Peloch. This grand hall is only half dedicated to the pursuit of their craft. The other half is a large tavern, sharing and displaying all the finest works by the guild members. The guild is one of the larger landowners in the city, owning large tracts of farmland in Grainebrooke. This makes Guidmaster Osera a very powerful person in the city's politics.   Osera Bah Afaq is a fifth-generation Pelochian. Their mother was the guildmaster before them. Their family is predominantly dwarves, though their mother married a human, and they themselves are a Mul. They became the Brewmaster after developing a new recipe for a Golden mead called Honey Drop, which has become highly sought after in the city and beyond.

7.) Stoneworkers Guild: The order of Mortar and Brick

Leader: Ahmood Tenti

This guild has been in slow decline for many years. When the city was first founded and growing the Order of Brick and Mortar was tremendously influential, helping to fuel the cities growth. Now, as fewer and fewer buildings are made, and there is less and less space the demands for the services of the Guild have declined. The fine stone work, and spectacular buildings the guild has made are still marveled at, but new work is required less and less.   The guild's remaining power is in its records. Nearly every building inside the walls of Peloch has been touched or worked on by the Guild. Many secret chambers, hidden rooms, and surreptitious entrances to buildings have been nearly lost to history, and the location of these secret passages can be found at the guild, for the right price.

8.) The Date Palm Inn

Owner: Khuss

While there is no official cook's or chef's guild, the head chef of the Date Palm, often called The Palm, is considered the best chef in Peloch. Her name is Anemi Nemitar, and she has been the head chef at the Palm for nearly two centuries. Through her connection with farmers, fishers, and ranchers around Peloch, she ensures that The Palm gets the freshest and finest ingredients. Many noble families have tried to entice Nemi to work for their family, but all have failed so far. Getting a table at the Date Palm Inn is a rare treat, and for many, a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.

9.) The Overflowing Flagon

Owner: Bahav Nezamal

The Flagon is the best place in Peloch for a pint, besides the Golden Draught's guild hall. It has been owned by a former member of the Brewers Guild for the past several centuries. This connection allows them access to fine and rare brews not available to any other inn or tavern in Peloch. The current owner, Bahav, is a dwarf who never quite fit in at the guild. He has thrived as the owner of the Flagon and can often be seen working the floor, pouring drinks, and breaking up fights in equal parts.  The Flagon has nearly a dozen rooms to rent on the second floor and, for a copper, always has space in the cellar for someone sleeping off a long night of drinking.

10.) The Merry Worm

Owner: Anesep Dast

The Merry Worm was the first tavern and inn established in Maker's Mark. Its origins date back to when this area of the city was an active mining site. The Worm was where the hard workers came to grab a drink, either on their way down or having just resurfaced from the dangerous mining work below the great mountains.  Now the inn is a well-loved spot for a cheap drink, a simple meal, and a soft bed or hammock for the traders and craftspeople who live and work in The Mark.

11.) Temple to the Makers

This small, but well loved, temple sits at the entrance to the old mine. It is a simple and unadorned temple with statues and altars to many gods of both mining and crafting. While the mine was closed years ago after the Thah'Ha collapse, the temple has stayed a place of quiet worship for the tradesfolk of Maker's Mark.
