1.) Cavalry Stables
This large stable and training area is where the cavalry for the Guard and the Watch are trained. Camels, horses, and more exotic beasts can all be found here. The contract for supplying the city with mounts is fiercely fought over.
2.) Fine Leather Goods
This large shop is perpetually wreathed in a small cyclone that pulls the tanning process's ever-present odors up and away from the city. This magic is not well understood by the shops current owners. This tannery never lacks for business and specializes in curing and treating monter hide, as well as more conventional leathers.
3.) Fit and Shave
This shop is an oddity in the Wild Winds Desert, a carpenter and woodworker. While stonewood is a unique and difficult product to work with, Fit and Shave specializes in working with non-fossilized wood grown around the Great Lake. This makes their products highly prized and in high demand.
4.) Axe and Plow
This simple, but large smithy specializes in making and repairing farming equipment for the people who work and live in Featherland.
5.) Grain and Barrel
One of the few breweries that is not beholden to the guild, Grain and Barrel makes all its brews from things grown in Featherland Farms. Their draughts are beloved by the people of the Outer City.
6.) Plough and Sail
At the end of a long and hot day there are few better places to bend an elbow and share a meal than the Plough and Sail. With simple drinks, mostly supplied by the Grand and Barrel distillery, and hearty food it is a staple in the lives of many of the people who work and live around Featherland Farms.
