The Pokémon League is Formed

Founding

The founding of the First Pokémon League is the beginning of an Era as all of Abyslo has been settled and with it the people may grow into a new and peaceful age. The Pokémon Leagues influence quickly grew to the point that it became the controlling government body in East Abyslo.

The Leaders of the Pokémon League are broken into 3 branches. The Elite Four, The League, and The Champion/Vice Champion.   The Elite Four are the heads of their own departments while also holding meetings to discuss how to govern the country, the Four are the final Test for the champion. The four also act as checks and balances for the Champion. Any act they deem against the law they are able to shut down with full authority.   The League is a Council of the 8 Gym Leaders from each town or city in the Region. The way to become a Gym Leader is to complete the Gym Leader Challenge then declare a battle with the Gym Leader you would like to replace. After winning your Battle with the Gym Leaders strongest team you become the Gym Leader of their town or city. Depending on the population of your City you can also end up with more then one council member representing your city like is the case for Eleren who has 3 council members and Worren who has 2. The number of Council members doesn't matter really as all their votes count as one. if their votes are not unanimous they forfeit the vote. The extra Council Members are Elected by the people of that City The League also serves to keep the Four in check so they have full authority to put a halt on any and all Elite Four operations.   The Champion is the figure head of the Pokémon League. The Champion is the title given to the current figure head who is appointed by the public. That or Successfully beating the Elite Four after becoming a Gym Leader during the Elite Four Challenge. In Which case the publicly appointed winner becomes vice Champion. After serving 4 years The Champion will retire or be emitted to The Champions Hall. The Champion also serves as checks and balances for the League.   The Hall is a Gathering point for anyone to speak with any previous Champions still interested. It is also a place for the current Champion can gain insight from previous champions that still desire to be of aid to the current Champion.   Only the Towns that file to be Gym Leader Certified are considered in the League.
