Dragons - Uses

Dragons have long served as a method of transportation around Erina, and outside of it. Given the species' ability to fly long distances, as well as restore themselves even after death, as long as their bonded Elemental survives. Dragons are used both within mundane civilian tasks, and as war beasts.
 

Civilian Uses

For civilians living within the cities, the majority of travel is either done by foot, or by Magway. It is only long distance trips across entire the larger cities or moving between cities that they would require them. For smaller cities without a magway, Dragons take over this purpose of medium trips, and are common to see in the skies. Most trips that civilians make with Dragons are short, considering that most civilians lack the training and the equipment to handle the dangers of a long trip in areas with the potential for Ravagers. In smaller areas between cities or towns, air-traffic can be rather heavy, but few civilians would dare to make a trip between continents on a Dragon. The risks are far too great. For civilian use of Dragons, there is the Flying Emergency Kit, to assist with surviving a fall, as well as helping rescue personal find them quickly.
