Mechanics & Inner Workings
The axe is a weapon through and through. The "live" end has an axe blade that deals 1d10 slashing damage, A large spike that deal an additional 1d4 piercing damage, and the blade itself gives of a magical fire energy that deals an additional 1d8 fire damage.
If a creature has immunity to non-magical weapons, the slashing and piercing damage is halfed.
The live end of the blade is pleasantly warm to the touch then outside of combat, and can be used as a small heat source in cold environments.
The back side of the axe can be used as an improvised war-hammer, dealing 1d8 bludgeoning damage, if swung "backwards", and the base of the handle is pointed, and can do 1d6 piercing damage if thrust into an opponent.
Significance
This axe was sold at a discounted price as a thank you to the The Stone Nomads for rescuing Zanrick Woodsheart from Hin Lodar during the Liberation of Hin-Lodar.
