Ankrium Knight

Ankrium Knights are a fuel source invented by Ankarr Ulmstead, for the Demenian Empire. Tired of constantly having his trade ships denied use of the port at the mouth of the Great River, Karshé, The Emperor of Demenia set the Imperial Mage Guild on finding a new way to get the vessels into other ports. Their solution was to fly over Karshé entirely.   Early experiments outfitting existing Demenian galleys to fly revealed that it would take considerable power to move the vessels through the air. To fulfill this need the Ankrium Knight was created to power the magical engines the allow the ships to fly, hover, and otherwise maneuver in the air. A few years later the system and spells have been refined allowing less maintenance and for larger ships to be made airborne.
