Flower Feast, Spring's Half Moons

The Spring Festival of Half Moons is a day of fun in the sun and flowers (hopefully depending on the weather- it is usually celebrated on the day proceeding the half moons, leaving the next for a rain date, but that's all the wiggle room we've got). It takes place during Flower Moon (5/7). The God [Doremus] is associated with this holiday.   Innocence is celebrated as the people revel in the bloom of nature. Flowers are a big focus- wreaths, garlands, crowns, etc. A lot of music and singing and dancing and ribbonpoles!  Bees and honey.   It is also customary to choose the plays that will be acted out at the Festival of Stories, Spring's Waning Crescent Moons during this celebration. Some communities hold contests for singing, dancing, and poetry reading, which they also use to help decide on players.
