Grimalkin

Grimalkin are sapient cat people. They are obligate carnivores. Their fur comes in a wide range of blacks, whites, grays, browns, and oranges, and often sports markings on their face and paws. They have large eyes and ears, long tails, and sharp claws. Grimalkin are known for being very intelligent and playful. They can speak the common tongue but prefer to communicate using gestures and body language.
Grimalkin are, by nature, curious and oftentimes recklessly brave. They enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people. They are also fiercely loyal to those they consider friends or family, and will defend them with great ferocity if threatened.
Despite their intelligence, most grimalkin do not place much value on formal education. This is because they believe that learning should be fun and interesting rather than boring and tedious. As such, many grimalkin go through life without ever receiving formal schooling.
Grimalkin prefer a horizontal approach to progress in life and learn multiple trades over the course of their life. Many become skilled hunters, farmers, craftsmen, and merchants. Others may choose to become scholars or priests. Some even pursue the arts as painters, musicians, dancers, actors, or writers. They make for great root workers, fishery workers, alchemists, jewelers, and smiths as well.
They involuntarily purr when pleased and growl when agitated. They are generally good-natured creatures who love to play games and tease others. They are quick to forgive and forget any slight against them, but when they hold a grudge, almost nothing can be done to appease them.
