Spellbinder: 5E24 Class
A human chants a short incantation, unleashing a fireball that detonates in the ranks of charging goblins. As the flames dissipate, her greatsword pulses with stolen magical energy. She steps through the smoke, bringing the empowered blade down in a burst of force against the hobgoblin chieftain’s skull.
This is a Spellbinder, an arcane warrior who channels magic through their weaponry, blurring the line between spellcaster and warrior. Whether attuned to celestial fury, spatial manipulation, or protective wards, Spellbinders wield a favored weapon as both conduit and cudgel.
Of Might and Magic
Spellbinders don’t just cast spells and swing swords; they merge the two into something deadlier. Each Spellbinder etches arcane symbols onto their preferred weapon, transforming it into a focus for their magic. Their styles vary as some alternate between casting spells and striking, building pressure over time, while others store arcane energy until they unleash a devastating, empowered attack. To a Spellbinder, their favored weapon is an extension of self. It channels their training, discipline, and raw magical force. Choosing a favored weapon isn’t just tactical, it’s foundational. Each one reflects the Spellbinder’s personal arcane path and fighting style.Becoming a Spellbinder...

Spellbinder Class
Current Spellbinder build 2.0The Spellbinder has been reworked for 5E 2024 with updated mechanics, better subclass synergy, and a clearer play identity. While it’s designed for the 2024 rule set, it can be easily used in the 2014 rule set by removing Weapon Mastery and accounting for the Bloodied condition.
