The Origins of House Sanyasa and House Amiri

Over 2000 years ago, the noble House Sanamir was one of the most influential and respected royal houses among the Stragan (now Humans) of Erelos. Renowned for their scholarship, they guided the Stragan people with wisdom and grace and they provided emissaries when requested to the other houses to assist in administrative functions. However, a fundamental philosophical disagreement arose within the house, leading to a peaceful yet significant split that would shape the future of their lineage.

The Disagreement

The disagreement centered around the future direction of their teachings and the role of their house in the broader context of Erelos society.

Prince San of House Sanamir believed that the strength of their people lay in the stability and prosperity of their homes and local communities. He advocated for a focus on localized teaching, emphasizing the importance of hearth and home. Prince San envisioned a society where knowledge and wisdom were nurtured within close-knit communities, ensuring that the foundation of their civilization remained strong and resilient.

Princess Amiri, on the other hand, held a contrasting vision. She believed that their knowledge and teachings should be shared far and wide, reaching every corner of Erelos. Princess Amiri was a proponent of travel and exploration, seeking to bring their wisdom to all peoples, fostering unity and understanding across different cultures and regions. She saw the dissemination of knowledge as a means to elevate and enlighten all of Erelos, creating a more interconnected and harmonious world.

The Split

Despite their differing views, there was no animosity between Prince San and Princess Amiri. Their disagreement was marked by mutual respect and a shared commitment to the betterment of their people. Recognizing the validity and potential of both visions, they amicably decided to part ways and establish two distinct branches of their house.

House Sanyasa was founded by Prince San. Those who followed him became known for their dedication to local communities, building strong foundations of knowledge, culture, and tradition. They became known as The First Ones or The Ancient Ones, revered for their extensive travels and profound impact on the cultural and intellectual landscape of Erelos. House Amiri represented exploration, enlightenment, and the unification of disparate cultures through shared knowledge. They were initially responsible for the discovery of how to use the magic of Erelos and established the schools and great places of learning all across the world.

The Great Line of Queens

The legacy of House Sanyasa and House Amiri intertwined in a remarkable way. The first Great Queen of the Great Line of Queens was of House Sanyasa, symbolizing the strength and wisdom of localized teaching and community. For almost 2000 years, the Great Line of Queens continued with alternating female births from the Queen joined alternately with male heirs of House Sanyasa and the House Amiri, combining the stability and deep-rooted wisdom of the former with the expansive, unifying vision of the latter. The house of the Queen was determined by the house of the father and then the daughter (always the first birth) was wed to the male heir of the other house assuring the Great Line of Queens represented the best of both houses.

This alternating lineage ensured that each queen embodied the best qualities of both houses, leading with balance, wisdom, stability, and a broad, inclusive vision for all of Erelos. The Great Line of Queens became a symbol of balance and harmony, drawing from the strengths of both House Sanyasa and House Amiri to guide their people through the ages.

The First Great Queen

Details of Queen Eltheria Amiri-Sanyasa:

Lineage: Eltheria was the daughter of House Sanyasa, known for its wisdom and deep connection to divine prophecy, and was married into House Amiri, a house renowned for its valor and strength. Her union with these two great houses symbolized the merging of wisdom and courage, which became the cornerstone of her legacy.
Reign: Eltheria is remembered as the Uniter of Realms, as her reign brought an era of peace and cooperation among the divided provinces of Erelos. Her rule established the foundations of the Great Line of Queens, whose lineage would be destined to stand against the forces of darkness.
Divine Blessing: Eltheria was chosen by Ithila, The One Above All, to carry the mantle of queenship and was blessed with extraordinary insight and a strong connection to divine magic. Her ability to unite the free peoples of Erelos was attributed to her wisdom, compassion, and divine guidance.
The Great Prophecy: It is said that the Elder Gods spoke through the Will of Ithila, naming Eltheria as the first queen who would guide her descendants in the eternal struggle against the Evil One. Her life and actions became the template for the queens who followed.

The Royal Crest of Aldonia, which combines elements of the sun and the tree, is said to have been inspired by her title, Eltheria the Radiant, and the Tree of Erelos, under whose branches she prayed for the unity of the free peoples.

Eltheria’s reign marks the beginning of the Great Line of Queens, a lineage of women prophesied to protect Erelos and eventually bring about the defeat of the Evil One. Every heir of the Great Line is said to carry a fragment of Eltheria’s grace and strength, making her the eternal mother of this sacred lineage.
