The Nephilim launch a mass war against the rest of the world, aided by devils and denizens of the underdark. They ultimately failed, but the damage was devastating.

The War of Sin was one of the greatest, and most devastating wars that Erelest had ever endured. While the existence of the Nephilim was an omen in itself, causing most kingdoms to be very cautious and wary of their actions, an all out assault from them wasn't anticipated. Nor was it anticipated that they would ally with demi-humans, drow, evil dracon, contracted devils, dragons, and even creatures such as mind flayers and beholders. This war single handedly forced every race to work together and put personal grudges aside. This war was described as evil itself having took physical form and blighting the land with their darkness and corruption. The long lived survivors of this war state that even hundreds of years later the memories haunt them, and that they will never receive peace nor rest until their soul departs this world.
