The basilisk is a terrifying creature that somehow is a naturally occurring beast of Erelest rather than some monstrosity created by a freak wizard. This can be a frustrating nuisance to many nations since druids seek to preserve these horrible beasts and their broods, but there is little any of the world can do unless they wish to incur the wrath of the druids.
