WH Arc 7 Finale: After all this time

It’s been two years since the Oreveine Blitz. In this time: A new metal alloy has been discovered, etheria. Made with materials recovered from sites impacted by Astron bombs, its uses are many.   Elarich has disappeared entirely, despite a continuing search across multiple nations.   Starbound Obscura has become more involved in peace keeping efforts across the globe. Having paid off their debts to Oreveine, they continue to ally with them. Through their discovery of etheria, they have led the reconstruction efforts of Stormwatch.   Several minor gods, all part of the New Order, have set up shop in Glasden. They attempt to keep their interference in mortal affairs to a minimum, but often give advice to the mortals that seek their council.   A sort of space race has started, with various nations throwing their hats into the ring.   Construction of a high speed underdark rail system has wrapped, with Thalar and Eric being among many leaders invited to witness its first trip.   Television becomes more widespread, and some programs begin to broadcast in color. (Color TVs are expensive though)   The New Council has a new temporary building, from which they make decisions and address the issues of the realm. Council elections are days away, with the left wing Halifax party holding a majority at the moment.   Thalar and Eric have been invited to the launch party for the Adonn XIII mission. The plan is to leave the atmosphere, if possible, land on Luna (Ereanor’s moon), and construct a warp gate, allowing for the harvesting of materials from the moon.    

Last we were together, you all fell out. Thalar attempted to steal the warhead atop the astron bomb that Elarich had come to claim. When Elarich realized it, he had the bomb launched. Instead of hitting Stormwatch, as you had originally intended, it hit the sky islands, Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, killing millions. Eric and Elarich fell out, with Eric returning to Lothis. Thalar fled to the Feywilds, where he spoke with both Aevitas, the god of time, and Malifax, the minor god of war. He returned to Oreveine, taking control of the Coven of Blood and spearheading the defense of the city. Eric and Thalar spoke, and formed a temporary alliance. Elarich led several bombing runs against the city of Oreveine. After Eric's fleet arrived and destroyed most of Elarich's fleet, Elarich fled, making way for station 13. With the divine favor Thalar had gained from Aevitas and Malifax, he and Eric were able to just barely catch up on Korrad, Eric's dragon. Elarich tried to activate the towers with runes set to kill any non-tiefling individuals within range of the radio towers. Through a last ditch message cantrip, Thalar was able to convince Elarich's underling to not turn his key. Seemingly backed up against a wall, Elarich shot himself. His ring, however, allowed for him to call out to a nearby man, possess him, and dissappear.   It has been two years. Things have changed, with Thalar and Eric both becoming respected individuals on the world stage, even gaining several seats on the New Council. Elarich is still in the wind, with a collective bounty totaling 480 million gold. The space race has begun. With the Adonn missions having recently left the atmosphere, Luna has become the goal.

      The launchpad:

The wind howls across the Adonn XIII launchpad. Eric, you stand in the rocket's shadow. You haven't heard your father's voice in some time. You're happy with your life now.

  Atticus Eversby: A 6'8" aasimar man. He has dark skin, a bald head. approaches, talks to them. Gives his appreciation for their backing. Things need to go well today in order to appease their shareholders, otherwise, he may be ousted as CEO. He speaks.   They meet the astronauts for the mission.     Men show up to take the rocket. If they aren't beaten in 3 rounds, the rocket will be hijacked and will head to Isandri, where it will crash, and the energy will be used by Elarich to destroy all non-tieflings.   Atticus Eversby: aasimar CEO of the EagleRise corporation, which is in charge of the missions to the moon.   Torak Regal: A human astronaut meant to be on the rocket that’s launching today.   Grollock Smithe: An orc who is running diagnostics for today’s launch.   Johann Guilder: A wealthy Dwarvish businessman who has invested a lot of money and resources into making this mission a success. Leona Warthis: The human wife of Atticus.   Howard Turklin: Atticus’s air genasi lawyer   Tonrak Jerugal: A tiefling bounty hunter turned personal body guard for Atticus   Gerard Green: One of Eric’s top guards     Arctic Monkeys: Turns into a gorilla 70 HP   Pump it up: Buffs allies 30 HP   Muse: Can affect the minnds of hostile creatures in 30 feet every turn. Appears dishevled and mad. 60 HP
