The City States Coalition
Structure
The City States Coalition is comprised of the joining of all settlements that are voted into the Coaltion. Leaders from all major settlements meet at Fleets Landings for formal Coaltion wide policies or decisions. All settlements vote on matters together. Equal parts to the Coalition. Cities can leave the coalition if they population decides on leaving.
Culture
The City State Coalition prides itself on being a citizen first group. The power of the Coalition comes from the people, they decide who represents them at the High Council and they decide if they want to leave the coalition. Representatives understand that their position is all on how well they have represented thier people at the high council. The coalition focuses on providing services for thier neighbors for the benefit of all those in the Coalitions.
Public Agenda
The public agenda is to meet the needs of thier Cities people first. Asking for proper help from other cities. Promoting the collaboration of all those under the Coalition Rule to look out for one another. Keeping the peace by providing safety and security in numbers. Creating a way of life that will be missed if taken away. To show that society can work when everyone treats each fairly.
Assets
All types of money is made through taxes and donations to the Coalition from cities. Each city contributes its own defensive force which are mainly militia. The bulk of the professional military forces are stationed in Fleets Landing. The Coalition has a Ocean Force and Ground Force. The military has never fought a war and have little experince but Morale and reason to fight is very high. Most Settlements/Cities have some sort of defense structures or fortification but are mostly weak and wont stand up long against a sizable invasion force.
History
City States started out as a loose treaty of new found settlements on Largus. Travelers wanting a new way of life came to Largus in hopes of changing how they lived. The City State Coalition was what they created and have building upon it ever since its existence.
