Relicts
"A relic, ye say? Oy, all the more's reason ta rush into that there cave!"
Anonymous adventurer's last words, western Rhudaria
The term "relict" is a catch-all word for ancient creatures that have survived from an earlier era, or another plane of existence. By definition, the origin and nature of a relict is obscure, and some relicts are one of a kind creatures, the last of some ancient race of beings near to extinction. Because they are so ancient, most relicts have developed unique powers to defend themselves, and any would-be relict hunter would best be well prepared with magic, potions, or a small army before engaging one.
