Perhaps a yearly tourney in your city encouraged its atendees to find the greatest monstrosities in the nearby forest and hunt them to take home the big prize. Whatever drew you to the hunting life, you stuck with it and are always looking for the next challege to bring you the satifaction and glory of the kill.

Features

Always Find a Meal

You have adavantage when attacking small or tiny beasts. If you are near a part of nature that sustains life, you can maintain a moderate lifestyle while working as a hunter, and you can catch enough food to feed yourself and up to ten other people each day.

Hunting Tale

You can tell a compelling tale, whether tall or true, to impress and entertain others. Once a day, you can tell your story to willing listeners. At the DM's discretion, a number of those listeners become friendly toward you; this is not a magical effect, and continued amicability on their part depends on your actions. You can roll on the following table to help determine the theme of your tale or choose one that best fits your character. Alternatively, work with your DM to create your own hunting tale.
d8Tale
1 Clever Girl. You were tracking a beast down when, suddenly, you could feel the breath of your target on the back of your neck.
2 Bear of a Lover. A bear that you were hunting showed themselves to be a beautiful humanoid, a selkie, that could change its shape
3 That's No Cloud. One day, while relaxing in a clearing of a forest, what looked like a cloud flew overhead. Though, this was no cloud, it was the largest flying creature anyone had ever seen!
4 Dragged to Hell. While camping one night, you were carried off by a beast to its terrible den of broken and gnarled skeletons.
5 Family Tradition. An owlbear, huge as can be, has successfully avoided your family hunts for generations.
6 Harrowing Escape. A hunt gone wrong had you beaten and bruised. You barely escaped with you life.
7 Nature Spirit. A creature you tracked and captured revealed itself to be a spirit of nature. You released it and it gave you a symbol of its gratitude.
8 Fowl Dealings. You tracked a local legendary beast that has haunted a small town, only to find it was a very, VERY, angry turkey.

Suggested Characteristics

Hunters are often solitary, but have been known to choose a pack that they would do anything for. Adventure drives many big game hunters; the thrill of the hunt gives them purpose. Whether they respect the wilds or feel like they are the master of it, nature and its mysteries can guide a lot of heavy decisions for a hunter. Hunting, at the end of the day, is a dangerous profession, and hunters share more than a few similarities of others who work hard for their food and livelihood. (Similar to Fisher)
