Ophalian Night
Ophalian Night is celebrated on the last day of the year, the 27th of Rekeber. It is an opportunity to join together with friends and family to think back on the year and greet a new future. Many people celebrate with a feast, or at least lots of snacks, and playing games late into the night. Mythos have a tradition of a bonfire in the center of town, where everyone burns an object or piece of clothing that represents a habit or part of themselves they are going to give up to make way for something better. Witches, particularly Nature Witches, celebrate by growing a new plant, trying a new food, or learning a new skill or talent.
History
According to Mythos Lore, Ophalian Night originated from the yearly trips the goddess Ophalia would make down to Eren to bring hope to the inhabitants of the earth and make sure everything was running smoothly. This gave it the name Ophalia's Night, which changed overtime to Ophalian Night. The Mythos and Witches led the traditions as Ophalia slowly became less and less engaged with the inhabitants of Era, and these traditions continue to this day.
