Tenants of the red rose.
- Honor – if a man asks for a duel one on one a red rose knight or Chevalier it is your duty to end the fight in a swift manor that brings little pain to the individual. In an honor duel one however will not kill his opponent and thus let him live unless the other individual has committed to acreages an error to be allowed to live.
- Duty – as the red rose acts as his majesties imperial forces it is our duty to serve king and county. A chevalier will act in accordance to the crown or of the royal family. It is our mission to insure their lineage lives on
- Courage – a chevalier does not flee from a battle unless the foe is too great that it cannot be handled alone.
- Charity – we serve the crown in arms and we serve the people in our actions. A chevalier will always try to do the right thing and help the poor, crippled, and weak.
History
The order was founded by the first king when he gained control of the country. At first it was simply the king’s guards and only nobles could join the order and so it was a far more elite group. They acted as the militaristic force and upheld order mainly in the streets of the city. However things started to change in the modern context as a noble army was not something many commanders could use to keep up with regular battles and war. So in 1100 the army opened its ranks to the common folk and allowed all people to join the military, this made it so common men could hold title and even more important land as in a modern setting all chevaliers are given land holdings that they can keep up and monitor with the end results being given to the workers, owners, and the crown.
