Weasel Tribe
Weasel Tribe of Urtind was one of the northern clans, being sandwiched between the Bear Tribe, ruled by Clan Ursine, and the Fox and Badger Tribes.
The land was once quite fertile and had many settlements with a thriving population and a growing prosperous port town in Henby. However, in 591 AU (in Urtind reckoning) The Great Plague struck, and while no one knows for sure where it originated, it spread through Urtind viciously, creating panic and a great loss of life.
Nowhere was this loss of life greater than in the Weasel Lands. Within a short 6 month period, as many as 9 in 10 had succumbed to the plague. Whole villages were wiped out, in some cases, with no one left to bury the dead. Even the livestock was not spared although their losses were not so severe.
When Kyng Karonus returned from the Blue Rose artifact quest (begun by Princess Elanor), It was one of the few known items to effect the cure, however, his return was too late for the Weasel Tribe. With numbers dwindled to less than a thousand, the tribe became scattered and absorbed into the neighbouring Clans and Tribes. The Weasel tribes lands are now known colloquially as The Lost Lands.
Although the Weasel Tribe is no more, they have not been forgotten and the town of Henby still stands as a testament to the greatness that was once the Weasel Tribe.
