Seer Erfon Reynard, is currently the Eorl of Jar and the high chief within the Fox tribe. Eorl Erfon Reynard lives in the walled town of Jaronne within the Reynard clan is a single B’rant consisting of motte and Bailey shell keep in the outlying counties either beside or within walled villages. The Eorl has two castles, one in the Clan seat and a second in the walled town of Jaronne. Eorl Erfon Reynard controls the Jar river traffic as well as the strategic March Trail. The Eorl’s lands include the main merchant route between Jaronne and Militas and the taxes help to finance the patrols necessary to keep this trade route open and safe to travel. His wife, Catríona of clan Maddox, is very active in the Church of Urto while their two daughters have divided interests, their youngest child a boy is being groomed for leading the clan. The eldest daughter is a Warrior in the Eorl’s warband and has already said she has no interest in leading the clan, while her sister is progressing in the ranks of the College of Light. The last and youngest son has recently come of age and has joined the ranks of the Warband and has excelled in the arts of the gentleman and following in his fathers footsteps of leadership.
The main economy of the Eorl’s holdings are iron, coal, fruit trees, and linen. In addition his villages have been organized to produce wire rings of exceptional quality that are exported to create chain mail armour in other regions of the Urtind kingdom (+25% to 50% more cost). These rings can be used to fashion either +1 or +2 chainmail so long as the armourer is skilled enough (rolls a critical roll of 7+ and PSF of no less than 35%). The Eorl has an interest in the arcane arts and historical knowledge. This has led to the local library of the Jaronne College of Light to be exceptional despite it being a ‘backwater’ location. The Eorl has several private books in his library that many followers of the Arcane arts have periodically used in their research. One in particular is a Mage’s journal from hundreds of years ago and actually mentions the facility that the Dwarves and Tylwyth Teg built south and east of Garabas and is located on a focus of various Ley lines.
Eorl of Reynard, the high chief wears full chainmail +6 as does his Elstash guard (+3), full chainmail (+2) for the Ijeiss and Areiss, sword (+5) & lance (+4) for the chief and his Elstash guards led by Alger Lewine, use lances and broadswords +2, Ijeiss and Areiss use axes and longbows respectively all of which are at least +1. Reynard also has a renowned ceremonial +6 battle axe (“Echel o Encilio”, Battle Axe of Retribution) that he had used when on foot and famously used as he was first through the breach at the battle of Mor Baltus.
Erfon Reynard keeps a balance of the traditional ways and the Church of Urtis. Both provide him with counsel as does his magic user who is the Principal of Jaronne’s College of Light. His Druid, Quinn Galloway, roams the Eorldom so as to keep in touch with the peasants and yeomen of the realm as well as to keep abreast of all the Eorl's liege clans, so is rarely present. However Quinn keeps in touch with the Eorl by way of messengers both human and magical as required. Druid Quinn Galloway (ML 9) is a ranking member of the Hyandic faith and is active in this region's Druidic practices and politics.
The original clan holding of Caer Reynard is held for Eorl Erfon is Senechal Seer Euan Baxter a very competent administrator and excellent cavalryman. He is in charge of training and the Elstash under his command are the best in the Eorldom. He has differed training of the Ijeiss and Areiss to his captains who in turn have done an exceptional job making the Eorls Pleivink (Warband) an exceptional and effective army.
