Cult of the Stars

These cultists are a loose confederation of different cults, each worshipping one of the far realm Banished Gods, Acamar, Caiphon, Delban, Gibbeth, Hadar, Khirad, Nihal, and Zhudun.   Acamar's hunger was endless so it sent its agents, the Acmari, to devour everything they encountered in their path to sate the hunger of the dead star. Acamar's primary vice is gluttonous hunger, something that is generally expressed in the cultists.[[gluttony]]   Caiphon was a fount of knowledge compared to the mortals that would commune towards him. The Phoncai serve to address this knowledge and bring it to humanity, even though more practitioners are insane than not. Caiphon was more likely to interact directly with his followers, unlike the other stars, and usually became the representative to the cult in order to pass decrees from the stars.[[pride]]   Delban is a source of wrath and primal violence. The ice star was the last of the old gods to be banished into the far realm, and will be the first to make a come back to the prime material world if he has his way. Delban is the most likely to directly bless warlocks with his powers, though whether he has noticed this fact is unknown.[[wrath]]   Gibbeth [[sloth]]   Hadar [[averice]]   Khirad [[lust]]   Nihal [[envy]]   Zhudun [[dispair]]

Mythology & Lore

In the old days, before the current gods of Eoferan, or even the gods of the Titans, the Great Ones controlled the mystical forces of the planet. The chaos and hedonism of the time were at a grand scale, culminating in the near-feral existence of the proto races, guided solely by the defining aspects of these gods. During the rise of the Titans, The leader of the Titan pantheon, Japeth of who the Titan language is named, rose and fought with his family the gods of the Titans, using trickery and deception to cast the true gods to the far realm. Since the true gods have worked from the far realm to maintain their strength, and to break back into the plane past the divine shield that Japeth erected, and then Airut Hopeatahtinen reinforced during the time of the Elves, and then again Leodon and Lentia of the Modern pantheon reinforced it during this age. However, the True Gods are not deterred and machinations are in the process of working their way through the shield to return the True Gods and finally overthrow the imposter gods.

Divine Origins

The cult formed from a lineage of worshippers of the old elder gods, as well as some initiates touched by the great stars themselves, touched as Warlocks. The founding of the cult goes back to Tiberius Atrox, a Loricanian who had made contact with Caiphon himself as a patron. He brought the heads of the various star cults together, slew them, and installed himself as head of a new super cult, with representative heads of the other seven cults working directly with him as the "star council", which usually only consisted of Warlocks patroned to the individual stars themselves.

Tenets of Faith

Each of the subcultures has its own tenants, but through the Star Council, the primary tenant of the Cult is unity among the stars before the war on Eoferan. Each star will work together and in unity until the celestial shield is broken and they return to Eoferan, and then, the battle for supremacy will once again reign on the planet.

Worship

Worshippers of the cult will generally take their cues from the Star Touched (Warlocks of the order of one of the nine gods), and perform tasks that the warlocks need to be done, but do not wish to do themselves.

Priesthood

The faithful are tied together from a mutual need of the nine gods. The appointed of these gods, Warlocks of various powers and potential form the loose "priesthood" that the cult recognizes.
