Radiant Spires

A Light In The Dark

"In the Shadow of Tyranny, a single candle can push back the Darkness."

The Radiant Spires were built within the Shaderoot in an attempt to stem the tide of the spreading darkness across the land. Four were originally built with the intent of forming a border around the forest, but while the Spires were able to slow the growth, they did not fully prevent it from expanding past their borders. Currently thirteen Spires have been built, each slowing the encroaching forest's expansion, but no permanent solution has been discovered or created.        The Spires are built out of cleanstone, a special stone that holds enchantments incredibly well, and are intentionally designed to stand taller than the trees of the forest. During their construction, a Manafold Array is placed upon the building and a divine flame is conjured atop its peak. Once complete, the Spire floods the area with magic and pushes back against the spread of the Shaderoot.         After the construction is finished, a Spirekeeper is assigned to live within the Spire and maintain the wards. While the creation of the Spire involves a complex work of magic with many individuals involved, it is largely self-sufficient once created and the Spirekeeper's job is much simpler, although a basic grasp of magic is a requirement for the position. The position is a common one amongst students of Trisdi University, often using their time as a Spirekeeper to work on their own magical research.
Manafold Array   The array that powers the Radiant Spires was created by Archdruid Ikiiki, Dawn Priest Galaeron Norvalur of the Radiant Dawn, and Arcanopriest Maiele Trisdi of the Learning all working together combine their different facts of magical power into a single functioning array. By combining the three branches of magic - arcane, divine, and primal - the three were able to create a method by which powerful enchantments could be both created and powered, requiring minimal maintenance or upkeep to continue in their original design. While their knowledge has been catalogued within the Learning's archives and it is known to create powerful enchantments, it is a complex working of magic and has disastrous effects when done incorrectly. As such, the Divine Trust has decreed that use of the Manafold Array is to be heavily restricted, and only performed with oversight from the Arcanopriest and Dawn Priest.
