Raven Eye

Description:

The Raven Eye is a rare and elusive plant found only in the dimmest reaches of old-growth forests, often near ancient stonework or burial sites. Its name derives from the single, dark, glossy berry that emerges at the heart of its rosette, resembling the eye of a raven — sharp, watchful, and unnerving.

Leaves:

  • Thick, leathery, and near-black in hue, with subtle purple veins that shimmer faintly in moonlight.
  •
  • They grow in a radial pattern close to the ground.

Fruit:

  • A single black berry with an oily, reflective surface.
  •
  • Emits a slight iridescent glow under starlight.

Folklore:

"According to forest druid traditions, the Raven Eye grows only where a raven has willingly nested for seven cycles of the moon. Some say the plant sees through the eyes of nearby birds, and that plucking its fruit invites the gaze of something older than the forest itself."
