All around the globe. They were more commonly sighted in mountain ranges as that's where they would raise their young before moving higher in the sky as adults

unlike their ocean counterparts, they don't have echo location, rather it is speculated that they communicated through body launage and telepathy, which is believed how they were able to have very limited communication with humans
to this day people believe they're being reached out to by sky whales, although it's all unconfirmed.
