Astra was a vampire that lived in the 9th century. She was a leader in the great rebellion following the first contact war.
She destroyed herself following the deaths of her lovers, Levi and Rowen. It is unknown if she ascended as no entity has claimed to have been her.

Personal history
A half vampire born to a human mother, she was a curious child with the widist mind anyone would meet. She'd take everything at face value and never quesiont anything.
when she was around 8, she was out hunting and was attacked by a wild bore. She lost a lot of blood and was found by conjoined naga twins who knew how vampires heal and decided to feed from her. She fed from both of them as they both offered. According to her, their blood 'tastes' different from each other
To repay them, she offered her own blood to seal a blood pact that she will be able to sense whenever they were in danger as repayment so they can be best friends forever. Unfortunately, her powers wouldn't awaken for years and the twins would go missing, leaving Alesa with guilt of lying and not being able to save them
She hated her vampire self for years after this for failing her 'Sneks', her favorite nicname for her boys.
After her powers awakened, she would spend years and years when she grew up slightly to rebel against the humans that think they can just take and kill whoever they want.
Sexuality
She is unattracted to anything that looks too human or exactly human like Vampires or Witchs
She's more attracted to the beauty of each supernatural/mythical of those she meets in her journey to build her army.
Education
standard 9th centery education with the bonus of herbalism and alchemy.
