Brane
Branes (short for “membranes,” a general term for multidimensional planes or spaces) are four-dimensional spaces that each may or may not contain a family of subverses.
A brane, either way, is a four-dimensional sphere that contains a three-dimensional surface where either the family of sub-verses or the equivalent of the contents of a sub-verse resides, held in the surface by energy intrinsic to the brane. Within this surface, the fourth dimension connects all the space within, allowing for space-tunneling (“wormholes”) and the like, provided enough energy is concentrated into one place and manipulated in the correct way. Furthermore, this gives the space within the surface of a brane finite volume but no edges. Branes, like sub-verses, are also brought into existence by the larger universe around them as needed to keep balance.
