Transmuters time stone
It is an arcane-infused stone, well to call it a stone might be more than just a simplification that diminishes what it acutely is.
The transmuters time stone, are made in three verities with multiple levels of power to them. The three versions of the stones are geared toward either defensive, offensive or utilitarian purposes.
The transmuters time stone is a very complicated, multilayered arcane device. The fine mechanical parts that allows for the power of the core crystal to be tempered in such a way that it can be fitted to any user. The core crystal that is worked in such intricate ways that it can gather and hold the arcane power needed to maintain or focus its runes and enchantments effects, without damaging itself or the user.
Do to these levels of magical power, it is essential that it is fitted to the individual. So that they are not harmed by operating the effects, while attuned to the device.
But originally developed in its defensive construction, and later the other construction techniques were made and perfected.
Defensive
This stone verity focuses on slowing down the transformations targeted at the user of the stone. This type is more of a passive approach, where it tempers the magical or natural effects that are forced unto the user.
Examples of this could be, extending the time petrification takes or delaying the effect of Polymorph, by a few seconds so to try and gain the upper hand.
It was later discovered that this construction type of the device also, is able to suppress lycanthropic effects, for extended periods of time. Both already affected by lycanthropy, or those just exposed to it.
Offensive
This stone verity focuses on extending the effects or increasing the difficulty to avoid or fight forced changes caused by the user.
Examples of this could be the duration of Polymorph or the difficulty of avoiding the transformation of the Flesh to Stone spell.
Utilitarian
This stone verity focuses on extending the capability of transmutation spells, by either extending the time or the effected area of the spell area.
Manufacturing
The mechanical parts are made by the Everheight artificers, the runic infusions are done by the Galmar rune-smiths, the crystal work is done by the Aurora artisans. The assembly is done with the assistance of Vélacirs finest touch weavers, under the supervision of the high Jaadroogar orders best enchanters, that also performs the final enchantments during the assembly steps.
Only made available to the Vélacir transmuters, during the up tick to and under The ending war.
