Arcane observatory

When it is finished, it is supposed to be able to observe the veil of the plainer cosmology and fluctuation in plain borders, at least on a larger scale.

So for instance when the fey wild or the shadow fell is overlapping the material plane, in new places. In theory it should also be able to measure activity at these points, to see what or how much spills over the plain boundaries.

Even tho it is still under construction, the building itself stands out. The outer shell is made of a heavy, and very dens type of granite. That is only found deep within the mountains to the north, the granite is a pale blue with grays in it. The inner shell is made of another rare granite type that is green and with in colour.

The glyph and symbol work on both the inside and the outside are meticulously and very precisely carved into it.

The building is made of large heavy stones fused together with magic. In an out lay and an inner lay with a copper wall in between them.

This is both to protect the equipment and knowledge inside the building. But also to dampen any arcane feedback, that might come from some of the use and experimentation there is to be done within it.

Various other elements are designed within the building to protect its users, and the rest of the city, from powerful magical surges.

Its construction have been impacted by many different issues.

The initial permit to construct the observatory

The founding of both the contraction and operation it

The access to rare materials needed for constructing it and using it

The pushback from the neighbourhood where it is being constructed

Funds and materials pulled from the project to support the efforts of the looming conflict.
