Gods and deities

Divine beings are generally classified in order of importance and closeness to the Creator of the Universe, the Great Serpent. Also called gods or deities, they always originate from at least one piece of a higher ranked deity. The more of a higher deity they ingest, the stronger they are. Hence, amongst divine beings, it is strictly forbidden to consume by force the flesh of another.
Gods, although divine beings living in their own plane of existence, can die in some circumstances not yet understood. Some theorize a lack of prayers can cause the death of a deity, while others argue that only a fight between deities can lead to death. The death of a deity is a rather uncommon thing, judging by the few remaining records left of long-forgotten gods. Once a god dies, all memories of them disappear from every living creature weaker than them. Written records remain, but as they disintegrate in a blackhole wrap along with their plane of existence, they are completely forgotten and cannot be prayed to anymore.
Despite being able to, it seems that very few deities take on a physical form when answering prayers or followers. In some cases, they appear on the Mortal Plane (the physical & mortal world) after imposing a trial to those seeking, such as god Neisuulew, often depicted as a very long, white, multi-eyes, winged Lindworm. However, most shamans and religious leaders report only hearing the voice of their divinity, sometimes describing the experience as if they had been transported to an unknown place of different aspect depending on the deity. As an example, Sejdit Bo often shows his shamans great landscapes overflowing with fertility.

The classification of divine beings goes as follows:
Above everything, the Creator of the Universe, the Great Serpent. No mortal has ever been able to reach them. They are at the origin of the Pecreo gods. They are life but also death, the flow of time and its absence, emptiness and fullness.
Created by the Great Serpent, the Shapers of the World, the Percreo "Those created/who have created before". They have been put in charge of the rock that was Enies and have shaped it to be what it is today. It's a very difficult task to reach them, and they reach very rarely to mortals. Ma, Aleph and Xyxsa are all part of it.
Neisuulew and Mnauwgh'Rhax are in a debated category, some believe they are Percreo gods due to their presence being vital to the survival of this world, while other argue that they belong to the following category.
All the other gods fall into the Sekwor ("to follow") name. Older names referred to them as secondary gods, but since the debate of the place of Neisuulew and Qèngii was implying the Sekwor would become tertiary gods, the term fell out of use.
