The Mound (Toft)
Purpose / Function
- The Mound, The Earthen Halls, The Pit. All names for the home of the Dominos Terram. Few enter this place without immediately thinking of the Dvergr and their mountain kingdoms.
- To enter the Mound one first has to head outside the city a ways to the North. There, if you are on the right path, you will find two giant earthen statutes. These are the Guardians, two massive earth elementals that the Lords of the Earth have pressed into service to guard their home. If the Quakers have invited you or allowed you entrance, you will move through a small entryway in a mound of earth that has been piled nearby. A simple wooden door that has no lock on it. This leads to a stairway that seems to wind endlessly down. When you reach to bottom, however, the true home of the guild becomes apparent.
Alterations
- The entire structure is one big alteration of the natural world. Stone and earth have been shaped at the whims of wizards.
- The Quakers are not oblivious though and have used the excavations to separate ore and precious metals for use in the city, and to stockpile for their own uses.
Architecture
- The Quakers have crafted a mock up of what they believe the Dvergr would build. Massive halls with columns that stretch endlessly upward in the mountain. An entire city, under the earth.
- Despite the enormity of what they have built, it remains relatively empty. There is so much space that the guild can’t possibly fill it. While they use the building of new sections to test their guild members for promotion within the ranks, they have abandoned almost 3/4 of the underground city they have built. Rumors abound, even within the guild, that things have moved into these areas, beasts and creatures that may have ill intent toward the dwellers on the surface.
