Unaddai
Residing in caves and dark caverns, the Unaddai have an ululating howl that they use for several reasons.
The initial use is for confusing and terrorising creatures on whom they feed. When they pick up a fresh scent in their caves, they will echo their howls to send their prey into a frenzy.
They also seem to use a slightly different howl in order to locate each other. They tend to hunt alone, but will often nest in large groups.
Not many have actually seen a living Unaddai because they recoil from even dim light, but they have oversized eyes and ears, pale amphibian-esque skin, long spindly arms and legs, belying the strength needed to move at speed along cavern floors, walls and ceilings. Nests are usually buried deep within cave systems, in incredibly hard-to-reach places.
