Alarator
A 4ft tall bipedal flightless bird-like reptile that lives and hunts in packs eight to twelve strong.
They have feathered bodies that closely resemble the greens and browns of grassland plains and nest on mounds of stone to protect their eggs from rain and cold.
These vicious predators are incredibly protective of large territories and aggressive towards any who stumble onto their nesting areas.
They hunt as a pack, running down their prey in small bursts of speed and using long clawed fingers at the end of their wing-like arms to hook into a prey animal's flesh. Working as a team in this way allows the Alarator to bring down prey several times its weight and size, feeding the pack for several days.
