Shadow Shackles

Wisps of dark mist rise like skeletal fingers from the ground, twisting into invisible bonds seen only by the victim. These phantasmal chains whisper fears and regrets directly into the target’s mind, paralyzing them with hallucinated weight and psychological dread. The target must succeed on a Normal FOR save or become immobilized and take 12 Psychic damage per phase for 3 phases or until the illusion is revealed. On a successful save, the target is not immobilized but takes 5 Psychic damage and the spell ends. An immobilized target may reattempt the saving throw at the end of each of their turns. A creature adjacent to the target may spend a full-round action to snap the target back to reality and end the effect. Creatures immune to mind effects automatically succeed.
