Downtime 2: Electric Boogaloo Report

General Summary

Meanwhile, in Blunderwatch…

As the days passed in Blunderwatch, our heroes found ways to occupy themselves between bouts of existential dread and minor triumphs.

SKREET

ever the sentimental one, returned to the Elder Twist tree, hoping for a reunion with the elusive Mr. Whiskerworth. Alas, no whiskered friend appeared, so Skreet did the only reasonable thing—left behind some crunchy bug snacks in offering. With little else to do, he turned his attention to a far more pressing matter: retrieving the Captain’s socks. A grim task, but one completed with the precision of a true professional. The socks were, unsurprisingly, right where one would expect—beneath the Captain’s bed. No questions asked, no answers given, and 100 gold richer, Skreet walked away victorious.

TICH TICH

with a coordinated vigor that one can only have when they are somewhat actually interested in their mundane job, poked around the warehouse and, against all odds, unearthed from a forgotten and dusty crate an enormous bear tooth—bigger than a dire bear’s, possibly bigger than any bear should be. The carvings upon it matched the ones Valko and Tormund had described finding in the Wyld. What did it mean? Was it part of something larger? Tich Tich, content to let smarter people answer such questions, slapped a 10gp price on the clearly broken divine item, perhaps with intentions to purchase it himself later.

NESA

split her time between training and tavern life, absorbing the local gossip while keeping an ear out for Josie’s performances. It didn’t take long for her to notice something peculiar—Binky of the Lively Lads was seething with jealousy over Josie’s growing popularity. A rivalry in the making? A feud brewing? Something to keep an eye on, at the very least.

JOSIE

meanwhile, was laser-focused on her upcoming album, though her impatience for the delivery of her Vibra Scribe was reaching dangerous levels. Each passing day without it was an affront to her artistic vision. She also found time to help Derrick with his flute training, ensuring that his efforts to charm the local bird population were at least somewhat musical.

DERRICK

ever the creature of routine, spent his time in the fields, practicing his flute while feeding birds and gathering feathers for The Game - the rest of the party hadn't been curious enough to dive deeper into whatever that means.

MAGGIE

who had fallen under the spell of a mysterious bagpiper—who, as it turned out, was none other than Binky. This newfound admiration for the instrument was likely the only thing keeping her from descending further into a web of conspiracy theories. Chief among them? The now four-day overdue shipment from the south. Was it merely a delay, or a sign of something far more sinister? And what of Jarv’s stick? Could it be connected? How deep did this rabbit hole go? To the top? To the bottom?   Blunderwatch carried on, as it always did—on the very edge of competence, with an ever-growing pile of questions and only the vaguest intention of answering them.

Will Mr. Whiskerworth return? Will the overdue shipment arrive "any day now"? Is Binky’s bagpipe a new musical sensation or just a passing fad? And just how big can a bear tooth get?

Magic Items

Grizzly Pendant a huge direbear tooth, larger than any direbear tooth aught to be, in a broken setting to be an extremely cumbersome pendant, glows with a faint blue-green light from it's intricate carvings. It emenates a sense of divine magic. The carvings appear to be some kind of unknown language, circling around a tribal design of a bear paw.
catalogued for recording and eventual sale at the Causeway Warehouse

Ring of Verdant Growth A simple copper ring with a small vine motif. As an action, you can cast druidcraft. Additionally, once per day, you can cause a 5-foot-radius patch of vegetation to grow rapidly, becoming difficult terrain until the start of your next turn.
Purchased by Skreet with a Union Voucher

Button of Mending When pressed against torn fabric, it magically sews a small tear (up to 6 inches). Doesn’t work on leather or armor.
Purchased by Nesa
