Selina Nafiso

Selina Nafiso managed to claw her way to the top and keep her head attached—no mean feat, considering Bravian politics often involve both axes and poisons in equal measure. She is the leader of the Stormwatchers, a mercenary company of some renown, and during the Althena campaign she acted as the main leaders of the Bravian invasion force.
Selina was not the biggest, nor the loudest, nor even the bloodiest of the Bravian captains, but she was the one who could string a coherent sentence together without spitting teeth. This, in the bizarre hierarchy of Bravian diplomacy, made her the obvious choice to represent the assembled horde of sellswords, cutthroats, and would-be conquerors when diplomacy had to be conducted. If Bravia had ambassadors, Selina would be the closest approximation—though her idea of negotiation usually involved a dagger on the table and a casual reminder of how much gold she was losing by wasting time on conversation.
Her Stormwatchers earned their reputation by doing what few Bravian bands ever managed: showing up on time, holding formation, and not murdering each other over the spoils mid-battle. That rare commodity—discipline—was the cornerstone of her influence, and why other captains, even the more deranged ones, grudgingly followed her lead when they gathered to invade Althena.
Selina plays her role as a public face with surprising patience, even when surrounded by fellow captains like the ever-scheming Cricket Elmwhil or the perpetually half-drunk Bonebreakers. She was the one who had to sit through meetings, listen to delusional battle plans, and occasionally remind her colleagues that supply lines don’t magically appear because you shout louder.
When Ariac treachery was uncovered—those poisoned coins hidden in the mercenary pay chests—Selina made the resolute call to abandon the Althena campaign. Practical to the bone, she realized that no amount of bravado could compensate for arsenic-filled wages and backstabbers back home. She led the formation of a coalition against Medacnan.
