Peasant Republic of Preiv Staria
Once a neglected province of the Princedoms of Rustia, Preiv Staria was a rural breadbasket that nobles remembered when the tax wagons were late. The region was worked to the bone by tenant farmers who bled so the Rustian court could dine. That all ended during the brutal peasant uprising sparked by famine, conscription, and the quiet realization that there were more pitchforks than knights. The barons were driven out, estates burned, and in their place rose the Peasant Republic of Preiv Staria: a proudly leaderless, aggressively rustic state where the idea of nobility is treated as both slur and warning. Its villages are governed by rotating councils and its economy runs mostly on barter.
There was another, more sinister pressure point that lead to the revolution—a persistent haunting of the province by an evil, recurring demon, hell bent on terror trough possessing random Preiv Starian youngsters. According to the paranoid denizens of the land, it was yet another result of princely mismanagement. After the revolution, the Red Supremacy headquarted itself on the Ruin of Hundardach, which was identified as the origin of the supernatural terror. The Red Supremacy sealed away the evil and started a special taskforce to ensure it wouldn't return.
