Partially responsible for the roll-out of Dragon's Breath Energy—a pioneering new drink from the Rafnica based Aetherflow company—Cheyenne took a risk and recruited a Thri-Kreen named Zerkorn as a sales rep.
As Zerkorn promoted the energy drink, a special Aetherflow issued satchel would record his successes and relay them back to Cheyenne. She would arrange a monetary reward for his work. The bag also allowed for regular psionic communications.
Cheyenne eventually approached Zekorn for a new job: it turned out that the bag recorded many interesting conversations with luminaries when Zerkorn name dropped the drink to them. Without the knowledge of her company, she was hoping Zerkorn could serve as her special journalist as she started setting up her own media company. The two struck a deal, and would become co-owners of this new enterprise.
The new company, called "The Gazette", was an instant hit. It published internationally as well, which turned out to be a major mistake when a story on Zerkorn himself adorned the front page—Cheyenne did not realise quite how many enemies Zerkorn had.
