Halflings

A quaint, unadventurous group of people. Upon first meeting a halfling, the first trait typically noted is their incredibly short height, at most half the height of a man. Most recorded meetings with halflings note their pleasant and lighthearted nature, showing little aggression or ill will towards the world outside their small and rambunctious villages. Halfling populations are scattered across Bysia, with the largest group situated in a protectorate in the northern corner of the United Confederacy, bordering both Collective One and the Appachian Strongholds.   Being of a rather peaceable nature, halflings have consistently avoided conflict with others, with little need to invest much into development of their own weaponry. Though the truthfulness of halflings having a "calming aura" is highly debatable, many have, with some success, been used as diplomats, and the two halflings who traveled with part of the Chosen One's party are remembered for their coolheaded nature and ability to bridge the various members' differences.
