Carriages
Carriages are a descriptor for a wide variety of wheeled vehicles, which in modern times are propelled by some form of combustion engine. Designs can vary wildly, and their versatility is a great boon to their users. Some are armored and carry weapons for military use, but most merely transport people and goods in their day-to-day lives. Still, even with the advent of mass production carriages remain too expensive for most lower-class citizens.
Early horse-pulled carriages were first used by Human royalty, then adopted by the Bysian Realms, despite the elven preference for horseback riding persisting even into the age of steam. With the invention of the steam engine, the first self-propelled carriages followed shortly after, and the replacement of steam propulsion by newly developed diesel and petrol engines led to the carriages that we know today.
