Zanite (zah-nite)

Zanite has long been used by Zarenians for religious and political purposes to symbolize power. Only those with the means to acquire the zanite (through political, religious, or commercial means) could wear zanite beads. As a show of good faith, those in power would pass the beads down to their successor. Because Zarenians generally did not use zanite in large quantities, they hardly explored the other properties that it had, the most important: natural energy absorption.

During the expansion of the Alanian Empire, Zarenia was absorbed into the commonwealth for its abundant mineral resources.

Intrigued an Alanuan researcher figured out that by combining the glowing golden stone with certain other rare minerals released certain powers. In this way, Alanue bolstered their military forces and technology with Zarenian Zanite.
