Tide Guard Marauders

History

Created in the year 995 by Ryland Stormrider upun his appointment as a noble house, the size of the Tide Guard has varried in size from 15 to 100 members. In 1072, with the defeat of the forest peoples, the Tide Guard moved from fighting on land to fighting primarly at sea, protecting Seafall, from pirates. Due to this change they fight mostly as individual warriors in a marine environment . The current commander of the Tide Guard is Sayid, Captian of the Tide Guard .

Equipment

Armed with a spear and a handax and protected by a light shield and chainmail shirt, these soldiers are at home fighting from the deck of the Seabreeze or bandits on foot.

For this reason their armour is lighter, leaving the legs free, and the chain shirts unlace at the front to allow for easy removal.

These warriors are skilled, but the nature of fighting on ships or bandits means these warriors fight as individuals.
